POSITION: Quality Systems Auditor

Position Summary

The is responsible for leading and performing various Quality System audits within
Acorn. Primary responsibilities include effectively planning, communicating, executing, and closing all
audits as well as identifying, documenting, and managing corrective actions. As a key part of the audit
process, be able to identify, communicate, and drive to realization opportunities for improvement.

Essential Functions

Creates Quality System Audit Plan of the identified department
Performs the Audit according to the pre-determined audit schedule.
Takes notes as supporting evidence of audit findings; makes record copies as appropriate.
Gathers supporting documentation as evidence of Audit findings.
Summarizes the Audit findings and reports on data and procedural adjustments as needed.
Creates and distributes the Audit Corrective Action Plan as appropriate.
Closes the Audit in a timely and efficient manner and consistently follows-up on action items.
Monitor trends in audit findings and reports results to Director of Compliance.
Identifies areas of regulatory interest for Auditing and implementation into the Quality System
when new or modified regulations are made public to ensure regulatory compliance.
Performs follow up Audits when Corrective Action Plans indicate.
Performs post-implementation audits of new or changed processes as needed.
Assists with the preparation for and hosting of regulatory inspections and provides post inspection
follow-up information as requested.
Assists in development and drafting of quality standard operating procedures, work instructions
and policies.
Participates in regular Quality System Regulation (QSR) training.
Performs supplier quality evaluations and audits
Observes all health/safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses
equipment and materials properly.
Employee may perform other related duties as needed to meet the ongoing needs of the
organization

Skills

Must have working knowledge of the Quality System Regulation.
Must be able to comprehend regulations and guidance documents and apply critical thinking skills
to evaluate requirements.
Must be able to effectively communicate findings verbally and in writing.
Must be detailed oriented, possess excellent project and time management skills, be well
organized, a self-starter and display a professional demeanour with a high focus on compliance
and responsibilities.
Requires strong MS Office skills and ability to work in other windows based software (i.e., Word,
Excel and PowerPoint)
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills, as this individual works on quality/compliance issues with different
departments. Strong problem solving skills.
Ability to create and document official company responses to regulatory agencies

Education / Experience

Experience with Quality System auditing rules and regulations, including planning and implementation.
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience in quality system auditing.

Physical Requirements

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
Regularly required to sit, speak, and listen; occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or
crawl.
