Installation and Service Technician – Mobility Equipment

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; Additional hours as required.

Job Purpose: You will make an impact in our customer’s lives by completing installations, maintenance and repairs on mobility equipment in order to keep customers active and on the go. You will be a hands-on problem solver to diagnose technical problems, determine proper solutions and implement the solutions. You must be comfortable working independently and interacting directly with customers.

Responsibilities:

• Install scooter/powerchair carriers, stairlifts and tub cutouts

• Perform repairs on mobility products such as lift and recline chairs, scooters, powerchairs, stairlifts, wheelchairs, rollators and scooter/powerchair carriers

• Perform routine maintenance on stairlifts

• Perform state inspections on commercial stairlifts

• Order parts for repairs and stock

• Produce detailed service repair notes on all repairs

• Provide service and customer support during field repairs or in shop repairs

• Build positive relationships with customers

• Work with other technicians and the service coordinator to share relevant information

• Other duties as assigned

• Elevator or lift installations or repairs

• Deliveries

• Receiving inventory shipments

Requirements:

• Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills

• Willingness to learn on the job

• Experience with basic hand and power tools

• Experience with electronic diagnostic tools

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Reliable transportation to and from work

• Able to pass a background check and drug screen

• Able to lift 75 pounds

• Forklift experience, preferred
