Sorry mate can’t agree it’s primary safety gear, price must not come into the criteria.
Are you talking about the spring which returns the nodder after the trainagular cam has pushed it down? Although you can get replacements, or at least you could for bison classics, the whole device is factory tested and as you say you would be changing the tripping speed.
Personally I would hate doing it but I would give the owner the option to either put up with it or replace, your hands are tied. How much are powerdrive asking for a skate?
