Uncontroled beeping

Hi, I’m new to the site and so far I’m happy with my Stannah 600 except for the beeping, My wife and I are both retired and are mentally quite capable – I think. Anyway, the beeping at the bottom, at the top , during travel up and during travel down is over the top! We go to sleep upstairs at whatever time floats our boat, to say, not on any particular schedule. The beeping is intolerable to both of us. What’s the fix? At almost $6,000.00 I can’t believe we must endure this nonsense for the rest of our lives.

If it’s only beeping in travel and when it hits the end stops? It sounds like they switched on the optional travel and stop sounders, get the installers back to switch them off

Before I contact them and have to go through the food chain, are you sure they can shut these beeps off?

Yes! On the main board there’s a set of option switches

A Call chime

B travel alarm

C terminus alarm

D short ret rail

Sounds like you have A and B switched on! Bloody annoying options that should only be used when the customers has peed off the installer 😈 we used to do to as pay back and tell the customers it’s a safety requirement 🤣
