My parents have a 260 with folding rail. As both remotes (attached to the stairs) are RF, does anyone know if you can get separate remotes for the chair and rail, that you could keep in a different room ? I.e. so you could call the chair down from a different room ?

it can be done, but the issue is the hinge remote is powered via the chair remote
if you look at the existing remotes you’ll see only one battery, and running between the remotes three wires, makes it awkward to do as the two remotes need to be linked together
the other issue is a safety issue! you really need to be able to see the hinge and lift to operate it, you can imagine the issue if the hinge is not lowered or lifted fully causing a tripping hazard or blocking the entrance to the building because the remote was sat on or the operator thought they had held the button long enough
on one install where the hinge sat across the only entrance to the building we fitted a set of indicator lights showing the position of the hinge and a set of hard wired remotes in a lockable box outside so people could move the lift and raise the hinge to gain access if the hinge was left down
not knowing your situation and the users abilities I personally would advice against it
