Problems with a Brooks 180 Curve
-
Hi,
My grandfather has one of these stairlifts. From the research I’ve been doing it looks identical to the Acorn model.
He used the stairlift regularly at first, but stopped using it for about 3 months, when he tried to use it again it moved about 3 feet up the rail and stopped.
the error code it has is 4 : C.
if you try and move the stairlift it beeps (screams) at you.
I’ve taken a video of what issues its having. Just trying to find a way to host it.
I’m fairly technical but i can’t find a manual that references this model to trouble shoot this issue. Hopefully its something simple that can be fixed with a socket set and a Phillips, anything more then i’ll get a professional to come out, but I’d like to be able to advise my grandfather either way.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

error C = Conflicting call signal between the lift armrest control and the remote control
error 4 = lift off level -
Thank you. Is there an easy way to solve this issue?

From your picture, it looks like the chair is level so I am unsure why it would display a “4”. However, if it is unlevel you can manually level it by turning the leveling motor shaft. That may not solve the problem though. It could be a programming issue and the chair is unsure of where it is on the railing. In that case, you would need to set the “datum” point by running the chair in programming mode. You can find out more here: http://okprops.com/how-to-problem-solve-an-acorn-180-or-bison-80-stairlift/
