Minivator 950 Limit overuns – now and then!
-
Hello all – new to forum, although have been installing various lifts for a good few years. Having a bit of an issue/niggle, with this lift(Min 950) – circa 2008 ish. The problem is an irregular overun – in this case at the top. Limit switch first port of call – in this case great condition. Sometimes a full run lift does as it should – then for no apparent reason – overruns onto final limit. Any ideas – maybe fault on PCB? or suspect Brake?. Both types of limit sliders tried . Only overunns at top with person onboard . Welcome fellow engineers thoughts (limit circuit verified) DIP settings default positions etc..:confused:

Thanks for that – Kevin, can see your logic, design of lift by definition already means plenty of forward play, I suppose only made worse with play on worn rollers – lifting the limit switch off enough to travel to final limit, will check it out, cheers, Anthony

More likely to be the limit stop, put the new plastic one’s in and pack out the back of it (where the cut out is) with a bit of folded card to stop the play in it.
I have had countless similar problems with the 950, usually at the bottom but this is the first thing to try
