Bison 50 Problem
I have a used Bison 50 stairlift. It was mounted on the right side of the stairs. But now I have to mount it on the left side. How to adjust the stairlift. Does anyone have an installation manual or technical documentation for this stairlift. many thanks for your help in advance

Cor that’s a old stairlift , if I remember correctly the carriage isn’t handed, the seat and footplate were changeable by moving seat post , swivel quadrant and swivel micro switch, BUT I could be wrong…..
The rail will need swapping round. Ie bottom rhs will become top lhs
Unfortunately all my documentation for these was shredded years ago

Hi Clive
thanks for the quick answer.
I swapped the rail around. Put the seat in level. Didn’t remove or reposition any mirco switches. Even if I reposition the mirco switch, which is near by the seat, didn’t make a differents. When I power up the unit. The display shows a “r”, this means the unit is right hand mounting. Then the display show an “E” Installation error (flashing). But the “E” isn’t flashing, what I remember.
What you mean the Ie bottom?
The seat is at the moment on the top of the rail.

Ok…. fraid it not as easy as initially remembered
Lots changes to make… some of them but not all are OSG Handing, tilt chassis parts, seat swivel boss, This is information Was gleaned from a colleague….am afraid ur best bet is to either put back on rhs. Or scrap and obtain an up to date stairlift with all the modern safety features
