I have a Siena powered swivel which seems to have become oversensitive.
There is a small amount of play in the swivel, most definitely not excessive, but it’s enough to stop the lift during travel if the user moves in the seat.
This is the setup with an encoder linked to the swivel boss rather than the old microswitch setup of earlier models.
Everything is lined up and torqued to correct levels, I’m leaning towards a faulty encoder and wondered if anyone else has had any experience of similar issues. -
Is it a rh p/s. If so there is a stannah modification kit avalible. Stannah dealer only fit I’m afraid

Hi, I think that the mod that Clive is referring to is for the r/h ‘S P’ chair that Stannah introduced to address the reduced swivel capabilities of the Siena and Starla chairs.

The SP has plastic swivel seat levers which are ribbed on the underside and lift to swivel.
